Precious Petals, your friendly local florist.

Precious Petals is owned and operated by Sarah Green; a fully qualified freelance florist offering high quality, artisan flower arrangements for all occasions.

Based in the heart of the Norfolk countryside we are ideally located to cater for events across the county. Our rural location also inspires us to use the natural materials surrounding us and to be as seasonal as possible. We are currently developing a cutting garden which means a high proportion of the flowers used in our summer designs are grown right here in Norfolk and suit our laid back, natural style.

Norfolk Landscaping

norfolk-landscapingKarl of Norfolk Landscaping runs a colourful plant and flower stall in the market area just outside Nat West bank.

Where are you from?
Wells.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
5 years. My father Iain was running it first with me as a partner and now it has been handed over to me.

What are your opening times here?
7.30am – 3.30pm.

What other markets do you attend?
Sheringham (Wednesday & Saturday) and Cromer (Friday).

What led you to running this stall?
I studied multimedia technology at uni but didn’t want to sit in an office all day. I went into landscaping and then started this with Dad. He came into it, 45 years ago now, as his father-in-law was a nurseryman in Wisbech. With a liking for an active life Karl is a retained firefighter based in Wells and his father was also in the fire service.

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
The people, lots of characters, nice atmosphere with regulars stopping for a chat.

What do you sell ?
Shrubs, trees, bulbs, cut flowers, perennials, seasonal holly wreaths. Prices range from 50p for a pansy to £40 for a bamboo plant. We also have large trees at the nursery and can take orders at our stall. We also have a Facebook page called Norfolk Plants.

Orchard End Nursery

orchard-end-nurseryPaul and Debbie Chapman run the Orchard End Nursery flower and plant stall in the Upper Market close to Betfreds.

Where are you from?
Upwell, between Downham Market and Wisbech.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
We have been here for 12 years. We took over from Dick and Alvie Lawrence who were here for 40 years before their retirement. They are old family friends of ours from the same village.

What are your opening times here?
7.30am – 2.30pm.

What other markets do you attend?
Dereham (Tuesday and Friday) and Wisbech on Saturdays.

What led you to running this stall?
We just grew up with it – Paul’s Mum and Dad were market traders and his grandfather was a tulip grower.

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
Nice people, and good social life and friendship with the other traders when we are not so busy.

What are your best selling items?
We sell seasonal cut flowers, ranging in price from 70p to £6 per bunch, and our plant range includes perennials, alpines, shrubs, climbers, bedding plants, basket plants and vegetable plants.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
25 years.

What are your opening times here?
7am – 3pm.

What other markets do you attend?
Thetford Saturday market.

What led you to running this stall?
Our family business has been established for 45 years now and we have both been growing and selling plants all our lives.

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
It’s always a friendly atmosphere here and we have many loyal regular customers as well as visitors.

What are your best selling items?
Cut flowers from as little as £1.50 per bunch, vegetable plants, bedding plants, perennials, shrubs and seasonal plants. We have as many local sourced plants as possible.
