Clothing Stall

Where are you from?
Littleport.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
15 or 20 years.

What are your opening times here?
7.30am – 2.30pm.

What other markets do you attend?
Kings Lynn, Swaffham, Hunstanton (Sunday) and Sheringham (Wednesday).

What led you to running this stall?
My brother was running a stall and in 1975 I started running a stall!

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
It’s quite busy and trade goes up in summer with the holiday-makers. The customers are friendly and the Town Council are very supportive here.

What do you sell ?
Italian fashions, men’s T- shirts, jackets, coats, dresses, cardigans, skirts and tops.

D Marsh Ladies Clothing

D-Marsh-ladies-clothingDarren Marsh runs his clothing stall just outside HSBC bank. He sells mostly ladies clothes but a few for men too.

Where are you from?
Near Diss.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
13 years.

What are your opening times here?
8.30am – 3.30pm.

What other markets do you attend?
Bury St Edmunds and Saffron Walden.

What led you to running this stall?
I’ve done it all my life. My father was in manufacturing, and then went onto the markets, so I started when I left school.

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
The Town Council runs the market well, which a big plus – Linda (the Clerk) takes a lot of pride in her job. There’s a good- feel factor here.

What are your best selling items?
Dresses, trousers, skirts, blouses, T shirts and seasonal knitwear. Prices range from £1 to £20.
