Secondhand Toys

secondhand-toysCarol and Ivor run a stall selling secondhand toys and collectables, in the market area, just off Bridge Street.

Where are you from?
Fakenham.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
15 years.

What are your opening times here?
7.30am – 1.30pm in dry weather.

What other markets do you attend?
No others.

What led you to running this stall?
Our son works as a translator in Russia where pay is very low, and his wife only earns the equivalent of 20p an hour in a hospital , so we started this stall to help them, having seen a gap in the market for toys and baby things.

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
It’s unique – you don’t get so many secondhand things at many markets now. The people here are very friendly and I love having a general look around early in the day.

What are your best selling items?
Wooden toys, abacus, jigsaws, model cars, toy animals, all sorts of games and dolls.
