Where are you from?
I live in Cawston and we grow our plants at Colkirk.
How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
What are your opening times here?
7.30am – 4.30 or 6pm depending on the time of year and weather.
What other markets do you attend?
Dereham (Friday), Swaffham, Aylsham (Monday and Friday)
What led you to running this stall?
I was born into it. My Dad started on the markets in 1965. First of all I worked for Dad, then we went into partnership, and then in 2011 I took over and Dad is now the ‘boy’ helper! When I was young there were more younger traders and it would be good to see more teenagers and young adults involved. It is hard work but very rewarding and I like it!
What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
It’s the most reliable market round here and has still got a soul.
What do you sell ?
Bulbs, Vegetable seeds and plants, shrubs, trees, herbaceous plants, alpines, and seasonal bedding plants . Prices range from plants at £1 to trees at £30 . Bulbs range from 5p each to £5 each. Quality is our priority.
