jeans-home-bakeryJean Seppings runs her popular stall Jean’s Home Bakery in the Upper Market. Due to the building works her stall is currently to be found just outside the entrance to Barclays Bank.

Where are you from?
I have lived here in Fakenham for 36 years since marrying a local man.

How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
About 8 years, but I have been in business since 1991.

What are your opening times here?
8am – 12.30pm

What other markets do you attend?
No other actual markets, but I regularly have a stall at Fakenham Races.

What led you to running this stall?
I used to run Q’s in Quaker Lane which was then known as Fakenham Wine Bar for many years, but I then wanted to give up working evenings and weekends. I like working for myself and having time off to play golf!

What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
It’s full of character and it’s buzzing. I love seeing all the local people that I know. You can’t beat it!
What do you sell ? Homemade cakes and pastries including carrot cake, sausage rolls, scones, pasties and pies and gluten-free items.
