Heather’s Wool and Haberdashery stall is run on the market area in front of Argos, her stall is towards the edge of White Horse Street. She stocks plenty of goods for keen knitters and crochet enthusiasts.
Where are you from?
How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
What are your opening times here?
7am – 1pm in dry weather.
What other markets do you attend?
None, I am semi-retired now.
What led you to running this stall?
Popular demand! I used to sell bric-a-brac but I have done this since 2002, as a lot of wool shops were closing. I did shop and factory work when I was younger, then when I started on the market in Lynn, you had to buy your own pitch – it was so popular. Things are quite a bit different now.
What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
The friendly atmosphere.
What are your best selling items?
Crochet hooks, knitting wool, knitting patterns, toy filling, ribbons, elastic and sewing thread.
