Extra NNDC public drop-in event
Extra public drop-in event arranged to help residents have their say on planned development in Fakenham – Fakenham Connect, 10am – 2pm Thursday 3 May
In response to the interest shown by local residents North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) is arranging an extra drop-in session in Fakenham when staff will again be on hand to answer questions about development proposals on land north of Rudham Stile Lane.
The 85 hectare site to the north of Fakenham town, between Rudham Stile Lane and the A148, is expected to provide up to 900 new homes, including hundreds of affordable homes, employment development, public open space, and community facilities.
A recent afternoon drop-in event at Fakenham Community Centre attracted much interest and a further morning event is now planned to coincide with the regular market day.
The ‘drop-in’ will take place on Thursday 3 May at Fakenham Connect, Oak Street, where planning staff will be available to explain the proposals and answer questions from 10am until 2pm. Additionally, an exhibition display of the proposals will be available to view in the foyer at Fakenham Connect from Monday 23 April until Monday 21 May (opening hours- Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5-00pm; Friday 8-30am – 4-30pm. Closed daily from 12-30 – 1-30pm).
The drop-in event is being held in relation to the current consultation on a draft masterplan document which sets out the principles of how the site could be developed. The document and further information can be found at www.northnorfolk.org/majordevelopments.
Everyone is encouraged to have their say. Comments may be submitted in writing to- Major Developments Team, North Norfolk District Council, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EN and must be received by Monday 21 May.
Further details can be found at www.northnorfolk.org/majordevelopments or by contacting a member of the NNDC Major Developments Team on 01263 516318.
