Chop-Chop is a new addition to the market in 2017. Alan Williams runs a well stocked handbag stall in the Market Place, near the War Memorial, which has replaced the previous handbag stall run by Johnny George for the last 7 years.
Where are you from?
How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
I started here in spring 2017.
What are your opening times here?
8am – 2pm
What other markets do you attend?
Ely (Sun), St Ives (Mon), Kings Lynn (Tue), Bury St Edmunds (Wed), Long Sutton (Fri) and Swaffham (Sat)
What led you to running this stall?
I used to run a kitchenware shop and added some handbags to attract women in, and it worked so well that now that’s what I sell most! I have been selling kitchen knives at game fairs for 6 years, and started on my own with this stall 3 years ago. The name of the business comes from the fact I used to mostly sell knives.
What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
It’s a very nice town with a buzzing vibrant market. Full of nice people and it’s well run by the Town Council.
What do you sell ?
A range of Italian leather handbags, also clutch bags and backpacks, leather purses, Pashminas and scarves.
